I am sure that when
Bambu
is released, you will be hearing many more layers in that wall of sound ;

Honestly- what difference is 4-20 from any other day to a pot smoker? There is none. It's the lamest excuse for getting high I could ever imagine.
I hope the ending is left on Wild Situation when Bambu is released.

Nope. According to Jon Stebbins, that ending line is not on the master tape. He says that they briefly discussed flying that line in from another source, but the idea was quickly put to rest when it was determined that Dennis had removed that bit on purpose.

I presume we are talking about his big erection?
I would be glad if Dennis had intended to remove it.

Just FYI there is a very prominent harmonica throughout the new mix...so your ears were working well even though its nearly buried on the boot mix. And yes, the erection line had been erased from the multi-track.

That's Carl. Carl also sings a falsetto line that's more prominent in the new version.

YES! I knew it!
We talked about it in another thread and people said it was someone else, but I was sure it was Carl.

On the Denny Remembered (vol2) boot there's a 2nd version of Wild Situation with just backing vocals that also have that prominent falsetto line. Never knew that that was (as I can assume now) Carl.
Thanks for sharing that info with us, Jon (and great question, Joe!)
Tried to pre-order the 3LP yesterday, unfortunately "only" the 2CD was available for pre-order, but the seller was quite surprised when I asked him. He told me he was trying to get his hands on that album for 15 years now, never heard it but heard the stories about it, etc. etc. I suspect he'll order an extra copy for himself in the near future...
