"Love Ya" -- when was it recorded?

I know this track was included on Sweet Insanity. I've read conflicting reports on when it was recorded -- as early as 1987 (making it a Brian Wilson outtake) or specifically for Sweet Insanity.

Does anyone have more specific information?

I've got a date of 1987 for it, and I distinctly recall the title being bandied about then.

 I heard 1987 myself, but IMHO it sounds more like a SI outtake.
