Just a few questions

1. I remember reading (could be wrong) that Neil Young performed as well as others that weren't included on the DVD at the MusiCares tribute to Brian. Why weren't these included? What did these other performers actually perform?
2. Brian was also at the MusiCares tribute to James Taylor yet his performance isn't on the DVD? What did he perform? (that's assuming he did)
3. On the Still Cruisin' album why on earth didn't they include other songs from around that era (eg: Happy Endings etc..).. I'm assuming it's because Capitol didn't have (and couldn't be bothered to get) the rights to the song(s)?
EDIT:
4. Apparently Brian also was at the 2007 MusiCares tribute to Don Henley (where have I been that I didn't even read about this?) so did he perform there as well?

Still Crusin could have been a good way to mop up all these odd songs - Happy Endings, Chasing the Sky, Rock and roll to the rescue, California Dreamin etc... not sure if it would have improved the overall quality of the album though!

I think there should be a Still Cruisin'/Summer In Paradise twofer with all these songs as bonus tracks... There are lots of songs they could add as bonus tracks - the ones you mentioned, Problem Child, East Meets West, Crocodile Rock, Don't Worry Baby (w/ The Everly Brother), Fun Fun Fun (w/ Status Quo), Lady Liberty, Kokomo (Spanish)...
Sure, it would make a truely awful CD, but it would be cool to have all that stuff in one place. Nothing from the catalogue of a band as important as The Beach Boys, no matter how bad the material is, should ever be out of print.
There's a band called NOFX, they have an outtakes compilation called "45 Or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough To Go On Our Other Records", they could call this "Songs That Weren't Good Enough To Be Re-Issued".

Amen to that.
Of course nobody would ever listen to it, but it's nice to have a more "completed" beach boys catalogue.

And, of course, "Chasing The Sky" and "Don't Worry, Baby" would've fit in with that semi-theme of the songs coming from motion pictures.

I never knew that that version of DWB was featured in a film? What film was that Sheriff?

Tequila Sunrise (1988), starring Mel Gibson, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Kurt Russell. Only a short snippet was played, non-essential to the plot.
