Please check this out:

Two Beach Boys/Brian Wilson fanzines, Endless Summer Quarterly and Open Sky, team up to present
"Endless Sky ~ Music For The Eyes: Vol. 1"

David Beard (Endless Summer Quarterly) and Chris Allen (Open Sky Magazine) have created a new series of DVDs.

Volume One features Nick Walusko and Darian Sahanaja hanging out by the pool talking about music from their childhood to Wondermints to backing Brian Wilson's band and recording Smile.   This is the bulk of the DVD; approx. 45 min. or so; very indepth.  Darian does most of the talking.

Interviews with Probyn Gregory and "Breakfast With The Beatles" host and Wondermints manager Chris Carter are also included.  These are both shorter; approx. 15-20 min. each.  There is some backing music from the Wondermints and some illustrations by Darian too.

Volume One costs $13.99.

If you are a serious fan of BW you need to get this.  Lots of interesting info from these talented insiders.  Thoughtfully shot and edited, this makes for entertaining viewing.  I hope that the team of Beard & Allen will continue this series at the same high level.  Well worth the $$.

For fans of Wondermints, this is probably the closest thing you'll find to an actual biography. I was very impressed  by how much Darian and Nick talked about their own musical hstory outisde of their work with Brian. . Except for print articles promoting various releases, I don't think anyone had ever gotten Wondermints on record about Wondermints. There's also great stuff from Probyn too and  great insight from Chris Carter (being someone who has wathed Brian's performing resurgence from the the perimeter) as well.  Much kudos go to both David Beard and Chris Allen for a job well done! Highly recommended indeed!
