For those interested, updates that I found of concerts by the BBs are now posted on AGD's Bellagio site.  For the lazy, the updates are- another May 65 gig-which suggests that the BBs were on the road from May 13 (or earlier) to May 23.   I assume that they played shows May 17 and 18 1965 as well-though I have not found them yet.   Two new May 66 shows (this suggests that the BBs were on the road from Apr 29-May 14 1966- again I am missing May 9 and 10- probably college shows somewhere in the east or midwest.   A number of changes to March and April 1967.  Badman has alot of typos for these tours and made a general hash of it.  Amongst the corrections-Kansas City show was March not Apr, Austin show was March not Apr, No Cincy show in Apr 67-it was Canton. Day after Carl's arrest-BBs in Rochester, etc
Updates for Apr 1968-I continue to find evidence that less shows were canceled in the wake of King's death than originally thought. If you read Gaines book, there is an interview with Nick Grillo that suggests most of the tour was canceled.  Badman listed too many canceled shows- in fact the Sarasota show took place as did my recent find the Apr 15 1968 Austin show, etc. There are various other updates-such as other artists on the bill at shows, etc.  If this stuff interests you check it out.

I hope that the marketplace makes a place for a book based on all of your research sometime in the future.

Yeah, but you know what happens once something appears in print form...it's almost instantly outdated, for as you see Ian is constantly coming up with updates.  That's what makes the internet so precious...a website can be updated immediately!  Smiley  If only Badman had published his book online...

While it's true that a book can become outdated- I still may make a book-but perhaps a more involved tome-rather than just a list.  It's funny- as a fanatic about accuracy I am put off by errors-but of course they are bound to happen.  For example, when Carlin's book came out I kept noticing errors on dates (for example he says-based on Badman- that the BBs started off 1975 with a NY show- which is wrong) and I was put off- but actually it is one of the best BB books ever- so one can miss the larger picture by focusing on minor errors.   I still think that Badman's book is cool- but there are so many errors in it, plus no listing of sources of info- that it fails as a resource- it's a fun book, but can't be trusted as an encyclopedia of factual info.  I am constantly being quoted that book.  For example: I learned a year ago that the BBs were in Akron on Apr 24 1967. I wrote to the Akron library and asked if they'd see if there were any ads or reviews of a BB show on that date.  The librarian wrote back and said they were very busy, but they had Badman's book and it showed that the group was in Austin on that date.  Of course when I convinced her to check- I was vindicated.  In terms of marketing- I have no idea how many people would buy a book on the BBs if I wrote it, but you can't really worry about that. You just should do what you want and maybe you'll find the audience

For them as be interested in such matters, 1973's up and running as of now.  Additions and corrections welcomed, as ever (especially sessions - they must have recorded more than that !).

For those who look at the 1973 page- there are alot of cool shows not mentioned by Badman that I found- including 5 benefit shows in California, as well as college apps in Vancouver, Columbus, Denver, New York, etc.  There are also venue corrections- for example Apr 21 show listed by Badman as Houston Civic Center was actually at the Music Hall,  Apr 26 show listed as Red Rocks Community College was actually at Regis College, etc, etc- anyways- if anyone knows of a 73 show not listed (or an earlier show not listed)- don't hold your peace- especially if you have an exact date
