Sorry if this has been addressed before. I didn't feel like flipping through thousands of topics to find out.

I know that Carl and Mike were always in differing factions, especially in the 70s. And in the 80s and 90s, apparently it was Carl/Al vs Mike/Bruce. But it didn't seem like a very strained relationship to me. They seemed to always compliment each other in publc.

In the last 20 years of Carl's life,  what kind of a relationship did they have behind the scenes?

In the 90's, I got the impression that it was almost strictly a business relationship.  They seemed to be cordial to each other on and off stage, but really spent virtually no time together.  That's just the impression I've always had, not sure if it's true.
