A few questions and that
«

a)
What exactly is 'She's Goin' Bald' actually about? Surely not cancer, which is what it'd seem to be...
b)
Is it just a myth that Dennis is nailing one of the Manson girls on the outro of 'All I Want To Do' (and is 'Be With Me' really a Manson co-write? I've heard it said that it isn't, but then quite respectable books such as 'Dumb Angel', an otherwise great read, claim it is. What gives?)
c)
Where the hell can I get hold of 'Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again', and what is in fact the correct way of writing the title? Is it (To Live Again)?

Sorry, was a bit unpleasant and blunt me using the term 'nailing' wasn't it? I meant fucking.

From what I read she wasn't a Manson girl but a prostitute.

a) No idea - ask Van Dyke and/or Mike. But probably not.
b) Girl, yes. Manson girl, no - it was a hooker Dennnis pulled off the street outside the Capitol Tower.
c) The only availiable version is on The Adam Marsland Chaos Band's excellent live CD
Long Promised Road
. I've always rendered it "(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again", but I'm probably wrong, as no-one else does.

Nope...you're right. We blew it. Alan didn't catch this until the album had already gone to press.

No matter - it's a great song, and an outstanding version, however you spell it. Anyone out there doesn't have this album, go get it - you're missing out on some great music and musicianship.

I'll second that...it is one of the best "tribute" albums i've ever heard - by anybody, in tribute to anybody! Just a solid event all the way around.

DeNNNis??? Interesting spelling take on the name but I think we need only two of the letter "n" in this case-an extra hour or so of study would be most appropriate and appreciated.

Why do you keep having a dig at AGD? It doesn't seem at all necessary.

Is Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again on any bootlegs? Not asking to trade, just curious as to whether its been released in the gray/black market at all.

The Chaos version is fairly close to the BB version, or so I'm told. I think Adam might have made some slight changes as far as key, tho.

Adam can give you the chapter and verse the musical changes, but to these musically illiterate ears it's awfully close to the original in almost every respect, and the original is among the best three unreleased BB tracks I've ever heard. Utterly magnificent. Adam's band's version is merely awesome. Buy his CD, and judge for yourself.

Brian's solo take on "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", and Denny's "Ecology", rough as it is. Brian wasn't the only Wilson who knew the value of recycling a good riff.

What recycled riff would that be then, Andrew? (If you don't mind me asking).
