Rotten Apple Records?

So i bought some vinyl today at the local shop...I'm a bit puzzled. I picked up Badfinger's Straight Up album....crappy condition, but that's ok...I later picked up the Ivey's Straight Up album, same front/back cover except it's in red. and instead of saying *produced by George Harrison; it says *produced by Hari Georgeson and it was put out by Rotten Apple Records, as opposed to Apple records. Any leads?

Sounds like a bootleg. What songs are on the album? It might be 'Straight Up' during the period the official lp was out of print, or , Pre-Badfinger Iveys recordings. I believe that probably the only official Apple release with the Ivey's name was a single "Maybe Tomorrow"

Most certainly a bootleg, though I havenīt seen that one.
At the end of 1970 Badfinger began recording "Straight Up", rejected by Apple in mid-1971 and re-recorded thereafter.
The rejected album is available on a Rotten Apple Records bootleg:

Although unrelated to this bootleg release, the official Apple label art changed over the course of a couple years. The initial version featured a green apple of course; on "Let It Be" the apple had ripened to a bright red and on Lennon's "Imagine" album, the apple was rotting!
