So what does everyone think of this band?  There new record, "Because of the Times", just recently came out and I can't say enough great things about the record or the band for that matter.  Great primal rock 'n' roll from these young Tennessee boys.  Three brothers and a cousin.  Some of my friends who don't don't like them can't get past Caleb Followill's singing voice which I will admit is a bit different, but I love it!  Just wondered if anyone else here knew of them and what your opinions are.

For those not in the know they have 3 albums out:  "Youth and Young Manhood", "Aha Shake Heartbreak", and "Because of the Times".  All are well worth checking out.

I own Youth And Young Manhood and it is a decent album. I havent actually heard their new single... I will have to try and hear it somehow. I agree that his voice is very different. To be honest I couldnt listen to them for too long because of that. Like only in small doses for me. But all in all they are a decent enough band. I like most of the first album though I havent heard the second or indeed the third album.

Interesting that you pointed out that they are three brothers and a cousin (very similar to the beach boys of course) but I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out.

Never got into them but I was bored and randomly downloaded their newest album "Only by the Night" and although the majority of the album is good, I can't say enough good things about the song "17" its been on repeat for a day and a half. It's just so good. When I talked to a friend about this album she pointed out that her favorite song was "17" as well, and she has impeccable taste in music...so you know we're right!

Check it out, I really dig the album, but the standout tracks REALLY stand out...
