So, what are everyone's thoughts on the new Who record? I have given it one spin and I must say, I was expecting the worst and it is actually a very solid effort. I need to give it a few more listens before I can give a worthwhile review but it is very solid.

I love it. The harmonies on some tracks are superb. Townshend sounds in dynamic form throughout. Some confusion over the drumming - Townshend apologises in the sleevenotes for not having more of Zak Starkey on the album, so who is doing the drums? Also Daltrey is starting to sound like Tom Waits om some songs! But an amazingly good album, and the 'mini-opera' is thankfully more Abbey Road than Tommy.

That's Pete singing like Tom Waits on "In the Ether" and on most tracks Pete Towshend plays drums. Zak plays on "Black Widow's Eyes."
