Brian and family on Kelly Clarkson's show 6/24 (?)

On their Instagram accounts, both Carnie and her daughter Lola mention Brian participating with them and Wendy in a rendition of GOK on an episode of the Kelly Clarkson to air Thursday, June 24.

I'm a little confused, as the gentleman at the piano in Carnie's accompanying photo appears to be someone other than Brian.  But I guess we'll see...

Conspicuously it looks like Brian will only be appearing in video form with the Wilson girls singing along with him.  Not sure why he's not with them in person unless his health or age are factors.

Interesting.  Well, I'd hope that Brian was at least "live at home," and that ladies weren't merely singing along to a prerecorded video, but I suppose it is what it is. And it's certainly great that Brian is participating in any form with his kids/grandkid.

So I hate to nitpick (but that's what we're here for LOL), but also from that snippet, I'm not exactly a fan of the girls' idiosyncratic take on the melody of the "God only knows what I'd be without you" lines.

Not sure if it was intentional or accidental, but Lola's double-breasted, brass-buttoned jacket is somewhat reminiscent of Brian's coat on the Pet Sounds cover.

There was melodyne used on Brian’s part….but that can only fix pitch not tone…and going by that Brian sounded good and looked great. Could have been the reverb used though (considering it was done by zoom there also artifacts from that too). Either way you can tell he’s sounding great

Edit …just watched again it…there’s chorusing  on the verse  and being at lower bit rate .  That said… it’s like that anytime anyone has performed on a tv show for many many years, nothing new…and with that in mind he sounds really good.

I remember buying Carnie’s lullaby cd she did for her daughter the day my kid Jaymie was born… I feel old as hell right now.
