I've been a fan of JET from their first album. I think their new single is rockin', it's the one on the Verizon Wireless commercials for their Chocolate phone. You can check it out at

Should be the first song playing

My sound isn't working, but I'd be interested to check it out. I have the first album and thought it was okay when it came out, but I recently put it in again and it was pretty unsatifying for me. There's some good stuff on there, but a lot of it just kind of made me cringe. I think for me, they're one of those bands I want to like, but their output doesn't match their potential. Like "The Vines." I keep buying them, but they never quite get there.

I love their first album. It is awesome !!! But this new single I don't like very much. It's mediocre imo, but maybe the album will be better.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

I like most of their first album, but the single is very uninspiring.

Bought the album yesterday. As a whole, the album is really good. Some highlight songs to me: Holiday, Kings Horses, Come On Come On, Stand Up and Bring It On Back. The only downfall of the album is the inclusion of "Hey Kids". This is a song they wrote a while back, but this time around they messed with the arrangement and lyrics (for US audience I guess original lyrics: "you hated Vietnam, but you dig Afganistan" in the Shine On version, "you hated Vietnam, but you love Uncle Sam"). I prefer the original much better, it's more catchy, but to each his own. That's my only gripe about this new album from JET. I recommend to pick it up. 10/10
*listening to "Hey Kids" now, I think my opinion is starting to change on the new arrangement.............
