Semi Beach Boy related...

I was doing a little research on my favorite song "Sail on Sailor" and I came across the fact the song was recorded by this semi-super group "KGB."  Of course, i'm completely and totally interested in finding out what the deal is with it.

Who's heard it?  Is it any good?  Differences from the BB's track?  Most importantly, where can I find it?  hah.

Many thanks in advance.

It's good I have the single. It has lyrics writen by Ray Kennedy that make referances to cocaine. Its pretty soulful. Someone told me once that these lyrics were the original.

I think the original version of SOS was about a gospel singer. Don't know if it's this version, because I can't listen to it

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

...or, if you want to HEAR part of it:

http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/mediaplayer.asp?ean=5013929766228&z=y&track=5&disc=1

There's 29 seconds' worth there.

I remember many years ago someone posted the lyrics to PSML, and I know that the lyrics posted mentioned Ray Kennedy BY NAME, so I doubt the lyrics are 100% "original."
