Seems like he may have just missed a show, for whatever reason.

Swapping Foskett for Ike would be an enormous step up for the band. Foskett was really struggling at the Christmas show I saw last year. However, I thought Ike gave up the road for his family.

Just an FYI having spoke to members of the band during that tour they were all sick with laryngitis on the second half of the tour. That tour was brutal, lots of miles and lots of shows in a short amount of time with some long set lists. Tough travel and short periods of time make it tough to recover. In my opinion Ike’s falsetto is a bit lackluster to me. His tenor range is impeccable to my ears. My opinion is that Randell or Jeffrey’s falsetto blends better with this incarnation.

Per Mike: Foskett had throat surgery back in January so Ike is filling in until he’s back and ready to go

Interesting. Also, is it me or is Bruce not looking well? I probably haven't seen a recent concert photo in about three or four months...but he seems kinda sunk-in and grey in appearance. Usually he looks exceptionally lively!

I thought the same thing about Bruce....could be that he's just looking his age, as opposed to not being well. Even though there's no easier gig in all of touring than his, the constant travel and wear and tear may be taking its toll on him.

If that's him, then he's lost a ton of weight.

I was thinking the same, but didn't want to say it. He seems to also have aged quite a bit in only a short year or two.

I think people with rapid weight loss tend to have more wrinkles because the skin is going from a stretched state to being on a much smaller frame of body (so they tend to look more aged/older than they really are). And he looks healthy to me: that those pictures are taken some 5+ months apart shows that Foskett isn't in a perpetual state of losing weight...looks as if he lost the weight and has kept it off since. And if his body were losing that much weight due to illness I can't imagine he'd have the energy to be onstage rocking with the band.
If he is unwell I hope he gets better, and if he lost the weight to be more healthy, rock on Jeff!

Interesting that even though Foskett is back in these pictures, Eichenburger is also there as well. Probably just a bit of overlap if they weren't sure of Foskett's precise return date.
But it is interesting to see Mike "the 50th reunion band is too big" Love balloon his own touring band to TEN members from the usual SEVEN it was pre-C50.
As for Bruce, I think it's just aging. He's getting pretty close to 80. Frankly, and not necessarily surprisingly if he had surgery a few months ago, Foskett looks more pale and gaunt than Bruce does. Foskett's weight has appeared to go up and down a bit over the years since the major loss back in the early 2000s while in Brian's band. But he has generally been pretty thinned down in Mike's band in the last few years, though in these new pics he looks even thinner.

If that was Foskett it might have been a one off appearance and he's not back because here's video from the next nights show and no Foksett in sight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkyfrmCAxy4

Ah, so Eichenberger being there the previous night make much more sense. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the coming months. No offense to Foskett, but Mike seems to be a bottom line sort of guy, so I wonder if Eichenberger might be better/younger and might come a bit cheaper too. Then again, Eichenberger left Mike's band a couple years back due to having a baby, so I'm curious if he doesn't want to be on the road full time. I could see Mike just keeping Eichenberger on. I could also see Mike keeping both guys and dismissing the bass player and having Eichenberger move back to bass. Seems you'd get more bang for your buck when the bass player can also sing. Ironically, those pics show Mike looking a little heavier than in the past (no, not at all excessively so; I've never faulted Mike's freakish apparent health on display for years now).

Mike’s group does such a lackluster job on Sloop John B compared to other songs . There are way too many people trying to sing the lead and they don’t blend at all. Pick someone for the lead !

I've always thought it an admirable effort given the numbers and instruments available on stage. No, it's not Brian's band...but I think it's pretty great for a single-digit lineup. Scott told me that the multiple leads is to attempt to recreate the double tracking (and beyond) effects used on the original recording. They do the same thing on "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?". The only real atrocity with this song (and many others every night) is Mike Love's inability to consistently play a tambourine.
