Al Jardine's Teeth
Really, a terrific set of chompers, some might say flawless! You can tell why he wanted to work in dentistry. His incisors have a really robust appearance, and the canines are well-defined but not exaggeratedly so. Do we have any detailed knowledge of his dental records? Any fillings, false teeth, etc.? Actually, in just about all photos, the BBs have wonderful teeth. Still, though, Al's pearly whites were unparalleled in the group and no doubt were integral to the early physical aesthetic of the group when they were would-be teenage heartthrobs.

I remember reading (don't have the book on me as I'm on vacation right now) in The Lost Beach Boy that Al never actually wanted to become a dentist. Can someone confirm/deny?

I can confirm that it did not say that in The Lost Beach Boy book. What it said is that the often told story in BB's lore that Al quit the BB's after Surfin' to "go to Dental School back east" is a myth. In 1962 he attended El Camino Jr. College in L.A. and apparently only on a part-time basis.

For some reason, this looks kind of creepy. Imagine that guy lurking in your closet at night...

Imagine ANY guy lurking in your closet at night??  I guess as long as it isn't Chuckie, with essentially the same smile, I'd take Al.
