Amber Love's Warmth of the Sun on now...far from the worst thing on the Lovesters solo disc.

I heard Wild Honey with John Cowsill singing lead which was surprisingly good too, he sounds almost as good as Blondie. The versions of Kiss Me Baby and Getcha Back I heard on the other hand are pretty terrible.

They keep playing that version of Kiss Me Baby. Can't listen to more than a few seconds of it.
I also heard Lavender this morning. I hope that they will put some intro to songs like that, indicating that they were from the earliest sessions.
I've never heard many of these songs on the radio before. The 60s songs sound great.

Probably should not have played Fairy Tale off GIOMH earlier... not the best thing to play for potential new fans!

Impressed that out of all the songs to get Mike to talk about the origin of, they went for "Finders Keepers".

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I get the feeling they sat him down and just read the track listings for each album, one after the other, because earlier today we got the fascinating genesis of Don't Hurt My Little Sister (in this track, Mike ruminates on sisters, and the non-hurting thereof, because he didn't want guys to hurt his little sister. Sorry if that's a spoiler.)

Which one? Palm Tree and Moon. A decent choice. Also heard Lay Down Burden and Looking Down the Coast.

It kind of irritates me when they're in the double song block - "Let's play two songs from *year*..." - and they play two songs, normally sequenced back-to-back on the album, out of order.
Example: Holland... "Only With You" with "Leaving This Town" afterwards.
Other than that, I love this channel. It sucks that my new car doesn't have a satellite radio in it.

Ha! I was driving home just then and heard the same pair and had the exact same reaction. Quick double-take moment. Maybe I'm getting Sirius Stockholm Syndrome but I actually thought the sequence worked They've played a couple of the posthumous Carl tracks, including my personal favorite, Run Don't Walk. The depth and breadth of the choices has been a real surprise to me so far. I wonder how casual fans think when they dial into the channel expecting Fun Fun Fun and they're met with a gospel song to the Maharishi instead?

Love it! Never knowing what's next. Ive been listening on and off all weekend. I've heard Please Let Me Wonder 5 times, Goin On 4, and Games Two Can Play 3 but haven't heard California Girls or Help Me Rhonda yet. I love that! Already had several friends comment they had no idea the BB did all this stuff. I haven't heard a ton of live stuff, would like more of that. Only Graduation Day from Concert, Caroline No from 73, and Little Honda and Shut Down from Chicago 65.

I've heard them playing the 1972 live version from the Endless Harmony Soundtrack.

I heard Only One Earth and had to turn it off before. I also forgot how bad the album version of Summer in Paradise is!

Good lord, I have to be reminded that 2017 Mike remake of "Kiss Me Baby" is awful. Robots singing.
They just played the demo version of "There's So Many."

Finally hearing the Today! version of Kiss Me Baby now. Played a nice Bruce and Terry song - Four Strong Winds. Enjoy hearing the anecdotes before the songs. Before I Get Around Al talked about the group working on the song at Marilyn’s family’s house. At the end Al said that what he best remembers is “the chicken soup” Oh, they played Ganz Allein a few minutes ago.
