It really raises the possibility that an *official* GV stereo mix could be included on The SMiLE Sessions. It certainly wouldn't be perfect but these two recent ones are passable, and it would be a great extra. If the description on that one is to be believed, something better would even be possible. "Good Vibrations (Rough Stereo Mix)" anyone?

If the description on that one is to be believed, something better would even be possible. I'm pretty confident that's the case. I'm an audio technology student who happened to get access to the software in question, but that was my first go with that stuff, and having done it once I could probably do a better job if I started from scratch (which I'm not going to do, heh). I don't know if Mark, etc. are aware of what it can do, but if they don't, I'd love to see what they could come up with, especially since they already have the backing track and would be able to better manipulate that mix to compensate for the percussion bleedthrough I mentioned in the description. (err, rambling done) |
