Honestly, I can kinda understand the questioning surrounding the trailer video. Marty summed it up very well. I think what people are curious about is that Mike shared a video concerning the current touring band. This video uses C50 footage. Mike then took the video down (according to Doe, possibly for obvious copyright issues), then it re-appeared yet again on Mike's page. What happened with the possible copyright issues? Why was it taken down in the first place?

Perfectly legitimate questions.

Either way, all of these videos make me curious as to what Noven is working on.

I notice there has been a fair amount of questions on his various videos and I don't recall seeing any replies. We shall see.

The more overarching question is, why are we paying so much attention to some guy (whether authorized or endorsed by Mike or not) who is simply chopping up other YouTube videos and common footage from home video releases?

That being said, any "fan" that casually mixes C50 footage with Mike & Bruce band footage in order to celebrate essentially Mike's continued touring under the BB name, may deservedly be met with some skepticism and annoyance from some fans. It's a rather divisive issue, still. Mike is choosing to link himself (however directly or indirectly) with this guy, so Mike's not doing himself any favors.

But yeah, way too much attention is being paid to this, whether this is just some fan Mike randomly came across, or if he's actually working closely as a de facto employee of Mike.

Based on Noven's FB profile he looks to be about 16 years old. The first video was pretty great because he had HD sources from YT to work with. This one looks like he just took some stuff from "An American Band" and went with it. I think it's actually kind of nice that Mike's FB team dubbed a young fan's video an "official" video.

This reminds me of the Iamaphoney "Paul is Dead" videos. PID believers swore that he had to be an insider because they'd never seen the footage before, when all along it was all up on YouTube.

I guess I'd be less put off if they blurred out every instance of Al and Brian's face in vintage footage, if indeed this is an attempt to promote the current live band. It would be ridiculous, but at least truth in advertising.
