Is there enough vocal material to edit into an instrument-free Smile that would be worthwhile? (similar to the vocal-only CD in the Pet Sounds Sessions box)

There's a superb half-hour Smile a capella montage on MQR's 'Ear To Ear Expansion' edit.

Do you mean a fan-edit or an official "from the multitracks" one?

"Our Prayer" - duh
"Gee" - yes
"Heroes" - yes
"Worms?" - yes
"Barnyard" - the backing vocals, yes. The lead from the 2011 edit, obviously not.
"You Are My Sunshine" - no, the multitrack with the lead on it is missing
"Cabinessence" - no, the multitrack with the lead for the verses is missing (and the "truck driving man" vocal, I believe). The chorus and ending vocals still exist, I believe.
"Wonderful" - no, the multitrack with the lead is missing, but the backing vocals still exist
"Child" - not sure?
"Surf's Up" - yes
"Great Shape" - the lead on the 2011 edit is sourced from a live to tape piano/vocal performance, so no
"Vega-Tables" - yes
"Holidays" - the ending vocals on the 2011 edit are sourced from the Smiley "Wind Chimes", so yeah. Hopefully they wouldn't slow them down to make them sound so goofy on an official edit ;(
"Wind Chimes" - yes
"Mrs. O'Leary's Cow" - vocals on the 2011 edit are lifted from "Fall Breaks", so technically, yes
"I Love To Say Dada" - yes
"Good Vibrations" - not the vocals on the single/album version, but some sections/fragments still exist, and some alternates of what's missing exist, so something cohesive could probably be put together
"You're Welcome" - pretty sure
"He Gives Speeches" - pretty sure
