The Future of The Beach Boys and Holograms?

I was thinking about what'll happen once all the members retire and what will happen to The Beach Boys as a brand.
Do you think the 1960's band will play at retro themed diners? Will they forever tour, immortalised once all the members have passed?
If you had the choice, would you rather see the complete band as holograms, or the current touring band?
Lots to think about

I would rather the band name retired indefinitely, but realistically, the group will continue on as a cover band long after all the original members are gone.
Holograms?!

I'd prefer they retire the name, but it doesn't really matter. I would like to see holograms of classic concerts, if that's possible at all.

I would be okay with it if they did it kinda like the old big bands do--after the leader is gone, they call it the "Les Brown Band" or the "Tommy Dorsey Band", and just carry on with whomever is left, or with someone in charge who maintains some sort of "brand standard". In this case: "The Beach Boys Band".
Or, heh, "The Beach Boys Family and Friends". Yeah. That.

I think when and if the time comes, Matt Jardine should get the license.

Ironically, there was a short period of time in 1998 where Matt Jardine was in the touring band after Al was gone. Obviously a somewhat awkward situation, which didn’t last long. Enter the third iteration of Adrian Baker in the touring band…..

Rock bands will come, rock bands will go, but the Beach Boys will go on forever, cause Mike Love will never die.

Especially not once I get "Mike Love's Adventure Island" up and running in VR. Experience the full immersive grandeur of Club Kokomo with 360 degree sound effects of icecubes in plastic cups of Bud Light as Bruce Johnston drones on and on! Thrill to shirt colors that match the day of the week according to ancient yet still nonetheless bullshit principles in rich, stereoscopic 3D that still looks pixellated as all hell!
Surely the only real reason to get an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. Or think of the AR possibilities! Perhaps only "holograms" and some form of Augmented Reality will be the way to keep Jeff Foskett in our living rooms in the future.
