Missing All Summer Long tapes?

I was reading the issue of ESQ with All Summer Long and I really liked the sessionography by Craig. I noticed that some of the songs are multiple bounces for tapes, however some of these bounced tapes have never been heard before such as the separated background vocals for Hushabye or any sessions for the tracking of Wendy or Little Honda. What happened, did these tapes disappear or were they taped over? At least we some of the tapes and we have the final 3-track masters.

Who knows? They could always turn up one day, like the missing "Shut Down Vol. 2" session tapes did...

Right. It's a long shot, but someone could have hidden them under your bed without telling you. Maybe thinking they'd be hidden behind the dust bunnies...
