Dam Sam! TOO many votes for the anthem of my Generation (I Get Around)

again voting off InMyRooom hoping more likeminded old guys follow suit.

Agree.  "I Get Around" was, for me, their best track up to this time.  "Fun Fun Fun" was great, but this was better.  Brian's answer to the Beatles/British invasion.  1964 was a blast.  By summer we had the All Summer Long album.  We got Elvis' coolest movie ever, Viva Las Vegas.  From England, James Bond and the Beatles A Hard Day's Night.  Had a paper route to make money.  In the evenings we worked on our car and Famous Monsters models - and kept the 45s spinning.  Simple times, when most folks didn't even lock their doors - house or cars.  It only got better from there.

Good to see that some of us remember.  I haven't counted, but this looks like it's going to be close!

But, "I Get Around" was an important milestone in The Beach Boys career.  A song more often to get a shout-out at Boy Scout camp fire sing-a-longs.

I think it's a vote against IGA, but I think it can easily be read either way.

I think it turned out to be a tie and it was just broken against I Get Around
