Awesome vid.

Makes me very hopeful that Mike's group will book a proper double set with intermission show when they visit London this year.

I'd have thought Bruce is as rich as Howard, but he is very adamant about wishing otherwise!!

Thought it sounded great. (shoot me if you must, but I think Stamos always sounds good on BVs)

Y'know methinks Mike did this for fun.  So why are we critiquing his vocals so obsessively?

A friend who watched this live said this isn't the performance that was actually performed at the party, that the one at the party featured Neil Young and James Hetfield (!)
Yap. They didn't perform this at the actual event (which Mike and his wife, as well as Stamos, attended). The touring Beach Boys simply taped it as a gift to Stern.

Yes but they didn't perform together, those were three separate taped messages.

I hate to spoil the luhv, but you cannot be serious professor. BAD with Beck trying to do new things musically cannot be worse than M&B kinda doing California girls for the 1,000,000 time....

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Actually, its the HOWARD STERN version of Cali Girls, far superior to Surf's Up.

Thank you for that! You got it all right there...those harmonies! Adrian Baker! The agony and the ecstasy!

While the rest of the band look presentable for a network gig, here's Bruce in his Hawaiian and shorts. Pure dork and cheese.  Thud

My bad. Thought of that later circa the timeline of the show...long hair threw me off.

Okay, the ecstasy and the Bruce.

this is awful.

Mike just oozes sleaze and cheese and being flanked by Bruce and Stamos really drives it home.
those 3 really are made for each other.

glad you all seem to enjoy it so much though! carry on.

Brian Wilson: the opiate of the masses.

I bet Mike spent more time on those Howard Stern lyrics than he did for any song on TWGMTR Grin

For a second I thought that was Bruce taking a selfie from a full length mirror.  That would've been cute.

So, has Matt's falsetto improved since then? Cuz I thought he sucked BIG time.

Bruce is that guy who shows up at a formal wedding in winter wearing a pair of shorts.

 Funny, I don't see a problem there
