Yes. In the end, it is a happy story. I just can't get over the scum bag that made up a story about Sexto killing himself. Probably that the royalties would go directly to them. But it is a great documentary I watched in the theater.
That executive from (I think it was) Motown had a hard time when he was questioned about it, didn't he?
Denied the whole thing, pointing at others. I was surprised he actually allowed that footage to be used for the doc at all.

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings.
Check out the
Beach Boys Starline
website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.
Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

Yes. He didn't seem to want to go there.

"Over the years, I've been accused of not supporting our new music from this era (67-73) and just wanting to play our hits. That's complete b.s......I was also, as the front man, the one promoting these songs onstage and have the scars to show for it."

Oh my GOD Bill Nelson another Badfinger without the tragic end..I OWNED the 1st half dozen BEE BOP DELUXE lp"s..They were very good + Inventive. And a fine guitar player..I wondered what happened to him in the mid 80"s. Lost track of him.. And those lp"s sold well in the USA..I didn't pay the money to line EMI"s pocket.. I payed it to BILL NELSON so he could continue to create more music..This SUCKS..!!!!!!!!!!
Bill Nelson still frequently records, but unfortunately, the website of a British Magazine "Sound on Sound" has been set up as the exclusive seller of all of Bill Nelson's CD's from the past decade...and their selling prices are absurdly high, even by UK standards. Also, the Parlophone label(now part of Warner Music, and successor to the 1969-2011 Harvest catalog) recently released a 3-CD + DVD(NTSC) set of Be Bop Deluxe's BBC recordings. There can be no full reunion of the group, because bassist/harmony singer Charlie Tumahai died from heart problems some years back.

Cohen strikes back ! Have just had a quick scan of the store at
www.billnelson.com
and don't think that £10/15 per cd is "absurdly high, even by UK standards" at all. In fact, that's what I'd expect to pay for a premium cd, especially one from a (with respect) niche artist such as Mr Nelson. How much would you expect to pay for premium/niche cd's ?

I hadn't purchased from the Nelson store(as administered by "Sound on Sound") for more than a year. When I last checked, the per disc prices were roughly £15 each. If you are correct,it seems that "Sound on Sound" has relented and now prices the discs more reasonably. Yes, I did buy a few discs at their formerly high prices, but I had subsequently given up on trying to keep up with the output of the highly prolific Mr.Nelson. The prices were a deterrent. I would consider £15 to be quite high for a 1-CD album.

Be thankful that I no longer participate in the discussions about The Beach Boys. You are really grumpy!!!
