Anyone heard this version?     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYr6YFXrT0Q    Pretty Cool!

Saw this reissue on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peanut-Sings-Her-Pet-Sound-Beach-Boys-Mod-Mark-Wirtz-Japan-Limited-/390661098361

Evidently originally releasd in 1966 or 1967; Her name is/was Katherine Farthing but she  has also been known as Katie Kissoon...

Produced by the demented genius that is Mark Wirtz, who recycled the intro riff for part of his Teenage Opera, "Weatherman". Thus:

Mr. Weatherman

The Peanut 45 was released 10/21/66 in the UK.

I have this compilation CD, Guess I'm Dumb - The Songs Of The Beach Boys, and it has "I'm Waiting For The Day" by Peanut on there. The CD was released in 2002 on Sanctuary Records Group.

As an artifact, it's a cool find, as a BBs cover - not so much. I only like the arrangements, kind of. The girl has obviously no voice, as if somebody invited a passer-by to record the lead & (nearly inaudible) background vocals due to absence of the real singer. Generally, I don't favor idea of a BBs song being covered by a female artist, it ruins the beauty & magic of the original. Saying so, I still have the so-called rare exceptions.

Lime is food? Yep.

Mandarin and Clementine went to meet the entire citrus gang, nobody ate people.
