Point Blank, the 1967 original version will be shown on cable channel TCM tonight from 11:45 to 1:30. For all of the people here who are into the 60's scene in general, this is a terrific crime drama yet very confusing at times and has a complex storyline that can be missed by missing one or two scenes.
John Boorman directed, Lee Marvin is terrific, Angie Dickinson is Angie, and the scenery and film technique are top-notch. Very much a forward-thinking film, even if it did leave a lot of people confused in its day.
Special note and alert for Smile fans: There is a now-famous long shot of Lee Marvin walking through a terminal at LAX airport, where the sound of his footsteps is the most prominent part of the scene. Watch this scene close as this would seem to be a similar corridor at the airport if not the same one as Brian had the "Smile photo" taken as he returned with Vosse from the BB's Michigan shows in October 1966. You'll spot the same scenery and also more of the artwork like the painting the Smile group is standing in front of in the shots.

I highly recommend watching this film for some of the better filmmaking of 1967, and it is one of my favorites.
Enjoy! TCM tonight, 11:45pm to 1:45am EST.
