Some basic analysis, played a few of the songs in full, and also featured some Brian and Carl interviews that I haven't personally heard before.

However, one of the presenters kept repeating that the Good Vibrations single was released before the Pet Sounds album, unless I grossly misunderstood them  Huh

Still a nice surprise I suppose.

Subsequent Steve Lamacq show played this:

The Four Pennies When The Boy's Happy (The Girl's Happy Too)

Sounds like a blend of Gee and The One You Can't Have. Great sound!

For some reason, this is not an uncommon mistake. I took a History of Rock and Roll class in college and that was how they taught the timeline the half lecture we talked about the Beach Boys. We also learned that day how Brian Wilson was a great surfer and about that amazing song from Sgt. Peppers "Strawberry Fields Forever". I didn't even try to correct the grad student teaching the class, because I took her to task about some bad information about Sun Records like the 2nd day of class and I could tell I embarrassed her.

It's amazing how much bad information is out there and how it can mare an otherwise good program like this one. At least it can for people like us.
