Dr Landy never released Brian from house arrest in Hawai, where he still resides and earns a living as a piano tuner for a local school.

Brian's post '84 appearances and recorded material have been supplied on a contract basis by Billy Shears, after his services were terminated for releasing Pipes of Peace by which stage Paul MacCartney's bastard son, Hienz had lost his german accent and could assume the role.

Around this time, the BB's corporation elected Al Jardine as president as reward for his selfless refusal to accept writing co-writing credits on Pet Sounds, Smile and Love You while honourably taking a bullet for MIU.

Dennis Wilson faked his death and became a pastor of a church,,here's the link to prove it
http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2009/feb/12/keeping-faith-dennis-wilson/?banner=1
Notice how the first line in the article is how he faces death everyday. see that proves it..

No doubt then that pastor Dennis Wilson also wrote the title music for 'Fawlty Towers' (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0933288/)

And recorded the single 'Rocky And The Space Invaders'.

As distractions from having to face death.

Fear induces creativity, apparently.

Who needs fiction when this is reality:

In the 80s and 90s, the greatest pop group that ever was recorded a Culture Club outtake, a song with John Stamos on lead vocals, and they tried to get Bart Simpson to do a duet.

'God Only Knows' didn't get past #39 on the Billboard chart and 'Surf's Up' didn't even chart. 'Barbara Ann' went to #2, 'Rock and Roll Music' to #5 and 'Kokomo' to #1.

The mastermind behind the world's best vocal group had to wait 44 years for his first Grammy (not counting the Lifetime Achievement Grammy), and he got it for an instrumental song.

You'll find a surfboard on nearly every Beach Boys compilation, despite the fact that they stopped writing surf songs about 49 years ago.

Well said. The same mastermind, by the way, got an asteroid named after him in the noughties. Said asteroid is not the heavenly object that made a hard landing in Russia, a couple of days ago.

Unknown to many, Brian Wilson's unhealthy attraction to a certain desert...

The Sahara... the Gobi... the Atacama... the Gibson ?  The Namib, perchance ? Do tell.

Seriously, I think I'm perfectly entitled to rip you a new one here for that. But I won't. This time...  Grin

No, no no those are too far away.

Tongue It was the Mojave of course.  They couldn't believe he ate the whole thing!  Shocked

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

These are funny. Nice topic! Smiley

I discovered that Brian Wilson spent 75-83 in a mental hospital. They found an over weight guy off the street to replace Brian on stage. His real name was Seymore Butts. He could play bass and keyboards and had a raspy voice. The band was surprised that he could actually write songs and was  the brains behind 15 Big Ones, Love You and the lost Adult Child album. Dennis and Carl really enjoyed working with Seymore and liked his interesting music. Mike and Al hated it and decided to not allow Seymore to be in charge any more. In late 1982, Seymore Butts died of a heart attack. What most people thought was Brian losing a lot of wait in short order in 1983 was actually the real Brian Wilson replacing Seymore. The Beach Boys thought that perhaps Eugene Landy could succeed with Brian like he did with Seymore Butts. The rest is history.

I forgot to mention that Seymore Butts favorite song was Shortening Bread!
