Hi. Not sure if there's a "How did you get into The Beach Boys?" thread anywhere but I figured this would be a good place for me to share about how I got into The Beach Boys.

Well yeah, the obvious answer is that it began with hearing some of their hits on the radio and really liking them but what was the point that began what would eventually lead me to 'disturbing obsessive behaviour' like downloading the Sea of Tunes, Journals, etc. boots and joining a message board mainly dedicated to The Beach Boys? I'll tell you! It was my 18th birthday (I believe. Maybe it was birthday #19) and my mom got me the Smiley Smile/Wild Honey 2fer. There you have it.

Yea for me it was the harmonies and voices that got me into them as a teenager, just didn't seem to be anyone like it , still isn't
