Of course, there's no way it can match the year we've just left, or even come close, but the afterglow of the astonishing events of 2012 will warm us until spring arrives. Was there a better time to be a Beach Boys fan ? No, sir, there was not.
Still, much to anticipate - Ian & Jon's book, the live album and of course
Made In California
. What's not to love ?

"Afterglow" - perfect word capture of 2012...not to say that more greatness does not await. It was synergistic magic all around, with much effort from everyone involved.
Happy and Healthy New Year to all!

Should be a good 2013 in BB's world..
We were spoiled like socialites in 2012 so let's take what we can this year and maybe even hope for a few suprises

Well the book on their concerts that I wrote in collaboration with Jon Stebbins will be out in June! So hopefully that brings a smile to your 2013! Plus that Box Set is certainly going to appear with some nice surprises on it! All in all-I am looking forward to it. Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone!
Yes, it was a gorgeous year for every BBs fan. Had anyone predicted the events that unfolded (let's say: starting with the TSS bonanza and everything that followed) in, say, 1982, she/he would have been referred to some therapist, to learn to make reality checks all over again. And I don't even think this is full irony.
We are so blessed... and the joy's certainly not over.

Phil?
Y'know, given that the box was originally due much sooner than the apparent current date of September 2013, I feel sorry for the guy, languishing in the badlands.

Where did that date come from? Is that really when it is set for release now?
