Since, as a Simpsons fan, I have the privilege of assuming the holiday season ends when Homer throws out the tree, above is a clip of the Roches doing a medley of Christmas carols. It goes to prove something I've always heard - no matter how much of Maggie, Terre and Suzzy's music you've heard on record, nothing prepares you for seeing them live. But the thing is, I still haven't done that, and in recent years they have performed only rarely and almost never outside the New York area.

The way they can get overtones going with three parts is startling - I guess it's the genetic thing in there.

I had never heard of them before, that song was great. And wow, listen to that contralto! She can get way down there.
