It's funny how JT is like "Only Brian Wilson could have written something like 'Think About the Days'!!!" when everyone pretty much agreed when it leaked on European radio that it sounded like a Bruce Johnston product  Grin

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Wait, I'm missing something. Have we just gotten a leak or a viable piece of scholarly information that the BB are, in fact, planning (with the details to be established) to make a new album and thus be in the studio together next year? If so, this is major news. . . . or should we wait and just keep it on the back burner until we get word from the band members and management and label?

Big surprise that "Beaches In Mind" was Mike's idea. I was just thinking today. Imagine if he and Brian wrote "Add Some Music" these days. It'd probably be about how one hears music when they are surfin'. It really is a shame that the man can't see that he was a great lyricist at one point, and that includes the surf 'n car stuff. He apparently thinks that's the only worthwhile way to go now though. That or quoting his own stuff.

Your general point still stands, but "Add Some Music" already has terrible lyrics and people still love it.

I do agree that the lyrics are kinda corny, but I do think it shows that Mike had some kind of restraint lyrically back in the day that he no longer has.

As for the guys getting back together in the studio…  You can bet on it.

Quite exciting. I would imagine that are indeed going to make a new album. Which sounds freakin' awesome to me. We'll have the box set early next year with a quite a bit of unreleased stuff and I wouldn't doubt that we get a new album by summer 2014 at the latest.

Even though this is exciting, I probably wouldn't put too much thought into any of this yet. I'm assuming there are probably just vague plans to get back together and work on some material. The band themselves probably don't know much more than that at this point either. And I'm sure AGD would be very sad to learn that they will be working together again.

Seem a little odd that JT he had to be told that Smile started with an a capella track  Huh

From the wording I think he had to be reminded of it rather than he actually did not know. The fact that both albums start with wordless vocal pieces hadn't struck him.
