Don't believe this has been previously posted.
While I'm not an OSU football fan, the OSU Marching Band did a tribute to The Beach Boys at the 9/1/12 football game.
Its at this YouTube site (watch the surfer at about the 4:20 mark!).

They did it during the Cal game too, on 9/15, but I haven't seen any video from that. Everyone's been too enamored with the video game tribute from the Nebraska game to share the Beach Boys tribute video again. That April Fool's prank about Brian dotting the i sprang from hopeful rumors about the halftime show, but even with no Beach Boys there it was still a great halftime show.

I thought I was going to hate it when they started off with "Barbara Ann", but I must say........ that was the most impressive bit of marching I have ever seen by a marching band! Really amazing.

Thanks for posting the link!

That warms the cockles of my band geek heart! Should've gone to OSU instead of my dinky private school.

I provided Mike Love harmonies in my marching band. Sousaphone, baby!

Maybe should have specified it was Ohio State and not Oregon State.  I kinda got my hopes up for a sec!

Not bad.

I always felt that SMiLE would make for some great marching band music.  Think about it: opening with the brass section performing "Our Prayer".  And songs like "Cabinessence" and "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow" would light up the field.  Close it with some "Good Vibrations" and you have a most excellent halftime show.
