The L.A. Times article implies that the only Parlophone recordings that Universal must sell off are the ones by Parlophone's contemporary, present-day artists, but not the Parlophone recordings from(or before) The Beatles era.
Other articles concerning Universal's takeover of EMI have mentioned that Universal must sell off the Pink Floyd recordings. But, it should be noted that Pink Floyd have always owned its recordings from 1974's "Wish You Were Here" onwards, and that, it is apparent that, in Pink Floyd Music Ltd.'s latest 5-year license to EMI(which has two and a half years remaining) that EMI gave up the ownership of the group's 1967-72 recordings. The "The Dark Side of The Moon" "Immersion" box set states that the copyright holder is "Pink Floyd Music Ltd."
Other (poorly researched) articles describe EMI as home to the music of the group "Queen". In reality, Queen have always owned their recordings, and (excepting the U.S.A., where their recordings have been licensed to the "Hollywood" label since 1990) they moved the recordings to Universal Music's "Island" label more than 2 years ago.
