Just swung the first mix of this up on Soundcloud, thought you might all be interested. Although it's very much an exercise in getting the hang of recording/performing/etc after nearly a month away from music. Which is why it's all a bit... much  LOL

I love this!!!!!! People aren't writing pop songs like this anymore.  A real mid-60s Wrecking Crew "feel". It reminds me so much of Gary Lewis' "Jill" and "Girls In Love" in feel, as well. I know it's rough and everything but I think it's really cool - it has layers of things going on that warrant a second and third listen. I'd love to hear further mixes or rerecords etc on this one!

Thanks man  Grin Know for sure those harmonies need work. Am quitting smoking atm though, so my voice is ironically worse than when I was coating my lungs with lovely tar 10 times a day.

Wow !

I really like it ! The songwritting is genius, it reminds me of Burt Bacharrach ... And Brian of course (but more Bacharrach I think).

Too bad there are a few uncertain drum fills and harmonies. But your arrangements are killers ! Especially the strings.

I can't wait to hear further mixes.  Smokin

Nice man! Very Motown. Your songs always have those melodies that stand out and keep the listeners' attention. Keep up the good work!
