So,
A book by myself and Mr. Jon Stebbins on the Beach Boys Concert history will be published next year.  More information will be released as the release date approaches.  The book will detail every known show by the group.  As many of you know-I compiled the concert info at AGD's fantastic site http://www.esquarterly.com/bellagio/gigs.html  .  So-manuscript is done and in hands of publisher but there is still time to revise a few things-so for the last time-if anyone has any info and evidence (posters, tickets, etc) on shows that they don't see listed at this site (which was just updated again)please speak now-or PM me.  I'd like to have as definitive a list as possible.  In my estimation-there are still some missing dates-though I've found (with help from friends) a ton of them.  Thanks again

More required curriculum reading LOL

Looking forward to it.

Can I suggest an eBook version with links that click through to audience recordings? (probably not…!)

Has Eric's site been a resource for this tome? Find myself referring to that one quite a bit.

Well done guys, bring it on.

Eric's site is a great resource and has helped me-and as a result of my own research he has updated a number of dates and venues on his site-so that all the resources people may check out are as correct as can be.  You're E Book idea sounds pretty cool to me!

This sounds like a great book!  I've been hoping for something like this that covers the history of their live performances.  These guys have toured for over 50 years!  That's  a lot of musical history.

I for one can't wait for this. With Ian and Jon at the helm, I know it will be an invaluable resource for us all.

Ian's years of research will reveal page after page of fascinating new details about the Beach Boys touring life and their live performances...and all in a very deluxe photo-filled package. Its going to be a mind blower.

This sounds good. I knew both were doing books but it's great they are doing this together. It will be a keeper.

Looking forward to your book, Ian!  I know it'll be a big success!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Sounds amazing!! I can't wait.  Grin Will it have set lists for each show? Or would there be a special mention of any rare one off songs played once or twice, but never again? I have a concert ticket from a show performed at Blossom Music Center in August of 1992. I know you probably already have some documentation of the show, but I'd be more than happy and willing to send my original ticket, just as a confirmation that the show happened. I don't really have any memory of the show(I was only 7 lol), but at least I have the ticket.

This is great news !
Ian, although I know that you know the threads I'll mention the "Beach Boys Magazine scans" and "Concert posters" threads in the media section. I guess there's a lot of information that can be won from them.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Which show was that?

I believe 7/11/1979 at the RCC fieldhouse.

Don't know much else other than that Dad said all of them were there.

Wow, this sounds cool!  Sign me up for a copy!  The setlist archive hasn't been updated since 2009, but eventually I will take a day off or two to update it.  Glad I was able to contribute in a way, and thanks to Ian for all the corrections and additional info added to the archive over the years!
