It's not ever now or never. It's that some folks want it right now, already.  I have no info and yep. it's a beautiful production; I hope it comes out one day.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That's a pretty good answer I think, particularly in light of how the question was asked...

That's what Al Jardine told me when I asked him about the song last month.

Just like the alleged "Smile" tapes, I am fully confident that this song is pure fictional and a disgusting last ditch at gaining any critical standing or popularity.

Because DD owns the original recording.

Fearing an upcoming flood of reissues, somebody tried use it to fill a hole in the Dike of Secrecy.

It would be hard to imagine a box of unreleased rarities without it.

That would be a legitimate potential roadblock, if true (hopefully he would be cooperative in honor of Dennis' memory. One would assume/hope that Dennis would've wanted it released). Can anyone verify this?

Is there even going to be a box set? Certain posts of late have caused me to worry.

Seriously, don't worry. It was just mentioned last week that the box set will be coming out this year. So I wouldn't be too worried. I'm sure we'll get some interesting stuff too. Maybe not everything we ever wanted to hear from the group, but probably nearly all of the cream of the crop.
