Any chance you'll give a go to The Little Girl I Once Knew? That one won't be represented on the Japanese remasters. I've heard a couple fairly good sync ups (stereo backing track matched with the mono single mix), but I bet you could do much better.

Good idea. I'll definitely throw that in the queue!

I really dig the Darlin' stereo mix. I'm not quite sure how to get this point across but I like how you kept the... ... low-fi chunkiness? of the song intact. I think that's really integral to the sound of Wild Honey and was worried having all the songs in crisp stereo would give the album a totally different feel.
Good job! Your SMiLE mix is one of my favorites and the one I pass around to friends interested in giving it a listen.

Just chiming in here to say that these mixes are really excellent. The Darlin' one in particular is pretty much album quality.

Anyone know where the complete stereo backing track can be found? My SOurces Tell me there's instruments missing in the finished take that's floating around. The Wild Honey album isn't *hint, hint* Loud & clear! Got a few things in the works. Love it. Some little goodies in there I have never noticed before.
Much appreciated! Imagine if we had a stereo backing track to work with. I could've went a little deeper but it would've involved some fake stereo tactics that I didn't wanna mess around with. It worked for the piano on "Darlin", but that sound is already pitched/chorused to death.

Just a note of support for anything and everything backwards Beatles guy puts out there. The dude (assuming he's a dude) is seriously skilled. I am following this eagerly.

I think SOT 21 (stereo Today/Summer Days) purports to have a stereo backing for LGIOK. Don't remember if it really is.

I've been listening to your Smile A.D mix the last couple of days. I am blown away with how you've layered and manipulated various vocals to fit some of the incomplete tracks. Look in particular sounds fantastic. I love the use of 2004 Brian on I Wanna Be Around and the backing vocals, the extra vocals on Love To Say Da Da, Child Is Father of the Man and Holidays. Absolutely superb work, and I'll be using these 'extra vocals' versions to replace the ones I've been using in my own SMiLE mix. Thanks for all your hard work, and making it available as the Smile Fan Toolkit.

Hey all, I realize this is sorta frivolous, but some guy is trying to claim that my remixes are fakes, and that I added instruments in order to make them sound as good as they do. Was wondering if I could get some support from my friends here and let em know that these are indeed legit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DdbjcMPkZ0Haters man... edit: thanks for the comments, really appreciate it. might seem like a stupid thing to worry about, but I do take pride in my mixes and don't need the "competition" trying to make it seem like my stuff is not legit (or as legit as legit can get in this case). anywho, new stuff on the way!

Done. With all the time that you must have put into this, you don't need people taking pot shots out of ignorance.

Noticed some people talking about Brian's muted vocals in Our Sweet Love in another thread and I got curious as to what they would sound like in the final mix. If you're curious too, here you go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZWtNV74-iY
