To mark the 50th and the guys's upcoming visit to Japan, Sony Music there is releasing a CD of 25 covers. Here's the tracklist:

1. ‘Good Vibrations’ – Todd Rundgren
 2. ‘Don’t Worry, Baby’ – California Music
 3. ‘Darlin” – Paul Davis
 4. ’409′ – The Tokens
 5. ‘Little Deuce Coupe’ – The Rip Chords
 6. ‘Shut Down’ – The Rip Chords
 7. ‘Surfin’ U.S.A.’ – The Astronauts
 8. ‘Help Me Rhonda’ – Johnny Rivers
 9. ‘Mr. John B (Sloop John B)’ – Sylvie Vartan
 10. ‘Good Vibrations’ – Hugo Montenegro and His Orchestra
 11. ‘California Girls’ – Leif Garrett
 12. ‘Hawaii’ – Bruce & Terry
 13. ‘Help Me Rhonda’ – Bruce & Terry
 14. ‘Please Let Me Wonder’ – The King’s Singers
 15. ‘God Only Knows’ – Andy Williams
 16. ‘Caroline, No’ – Nick DeCaro and Orchestra
 17. ‘Disney Girls’ – Cass Elliot
 18. ‘Don’t Worry, Baby’ – The Tokens
 19. ‘Good Vibrations’ – The Cowsills
 20. ’409′ – The Rip Chords
 21. ‘Shut Down’ – The Tokens
 22. ‘J’ai Pas Le Temps (No-Go Showboat)’ – Petula Clark
 23. ‘Good Vibrations’ – Floyd Cramer
 24. ‘Disney Girls’ – Bruce Johnston
 25. ‘The Warmth of the Sun’ – Melissa Manchester

Nearly all of these are on Youtube, but it may be the first appearance on CD for a few of these tracks. Bruce is on eight of them, by my count; Mike on one; John Cowsill on one. (Plus Brian on Rivers's HMR.) I'd never heard Floyd Cramer's take on GV so looked it up on YT. Peculiar vocal arrangement - it may have been done by either Ray Stevens or Tupper Saussy.

And some more news from the UCR site:

Going Van Halen's no brown M&Ms one better, this says the band specifies in the tour riders that at each show they have at hand three - just three - Bic lighters. Which cannot be green in color. Scott, can you explain what this is about?

I didn't know half of these existed! I just checked out the Petula Clark track, it's just what you'd expect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QEof8iPIr0

and of course Bruce's productions take up a huge chunk of this album.
