Does anyone else have plans to name any future kids they might have after any of the Beach Boys? I've actually kind of figured out a way I could. See, my dad's name is Brian and my grandpa's middle name is Wilson. Honest. So if i name my son Brian Wilson *last name* then it would technically still be a family name and the name of a Beach Boy. Seems like fate to me  Grin

I'm wondering how I can raise the subject gently. "Murry. Like Murray, only without the a."

Way back in 1974 my mom named ME after Brian Wilson. True, real fact. Just the Brian part.
So, I'm in favor!

When I was 17 I decided if I ever had kids and had more than one boy (1st one would get David for my pap & dad) I would name it Dennis Carl. I also decided at some point I wanted to have dogs named Banana & Louie Grin

Well I suggested to my pregant partner that we name our first kid Alan Blondie Brian Bruce Carl David Dennis Mike Ricky Manning; she refused.

So I suggested William Patrick Jon Tom Peter Colin Sylvester Paul Christopher David Manning (there was no Matt at the time, bear in mind) and she said "no" again.

We had a girl in the end, anyway... Named her after some mountains...

Naming them after Dennis or Carl would be far too obvious for us hardcore fans, don't you think?

I've been trying to convince my wife to name our first-born son Dennis, but she refuses. It's a cool name on its own, and works with my middle and last name. We don't have any plans for kids in the next few years, so maybe there is still time to talk her into it. If she doesn't relent, though, I might have to get a vasectomy.

We have three children, 9 year old son and twin 3 year old girls.  I was able to name one of the 3; as you guys know, you defer to the wife on all things of this nature.

But I did manage to get one in there...  Caroline.  The younger twin, by 9 minutes.

Wilson is a great name for a cat. I'm picturing a big doughy orange tabby that squints a lot.

Brian, my friendship tree, is almost 5 years old now. I had a bunch of plants, one for each Beach Boy. They all died way ahead of Brian, the friendship tree (who is still alive, obviously). Some kind of omen..?

We're planning on having two, and have two boys names and two girls names ready. The boys names are non-Beach Boys related, but for the girls we're going with Adrienne Caroline and Madison Marcella.

I named my first bourne Dennis Carl Douglas Dean Manson Farm.  Smokin

You people ARE kidding, I hope. Oh well, could be worse, I suppose.

It's a shame Mr. and Mrs. Wilson didn't name their boys Jason, Dylan and Shaun. What were they THINKING?  Razz

You're right. My dad knows about Brian Wilson. If I named any son i may have Brian Wilson I would probably get an eye roll from my dad. Then he'd tell everyone else

Played a certain BB song to a friend who had never heard it and she loved it. Said she was going to go out and track down both the live and album version.

Her name is 'Marcella'.

We named out first son James Paul...but not after a certain left-handed bass player.  Just a happy coincidence.  We chose James because it was classic and had not been used in either of our families and Paul because it was my grandpa's name.

Justyn Wilson named his son Dean Carl Wilson, after Dean's grandad.  Grin
