Wasn't the "Don't Fight The Sea" video (feat. the Beach Boys) supposed to be released around this time?
Does anyone remember the supposed release date (search is not working for me right now).

I think it was just meant to be an excerpt for the album's EPK which you can watch here (the "Don't Fight the Sea" clip is at 4:36).

Umh...
I'm pretty sure reading that that a full video was being shot for some environmental organization and that was gonna be released in July (16th?).

For example Al speaks about it here:

http://www.insiteatlanta.com/beachboys.asp

"We just did a video for it. It’s gonna be like an Imax quality video with the most incredible oceanic scenes, like on the level of a major motion picture. And shot on actual film. There’ll be cameos of each guy and also Paul McCartney did a cameo. And even Katy Perry! Paul looks right in the camera and says, “Don’t Fight The Sea, lad.” I’m trying to get President Clinton and Bush, so it could be major deal."

Electronic Oh hey guys, I'm being cute and testing the moderators!ress Kit, I'm guessing?

What the hell is this BS?  I'm not being cute, I really had never heard the term EPK, and I was simply asking if that's what it stood for.  Man, the presumptive crap tossed in my direction here is really pissing me off.  Who in the hell do "you" think you are, anyway?

By the way, I expect an apology from whomever is responsible.

that's just what happens when you bold the letter "P". it's automatic censoring.

You know what I just noticed?  the same irresponsible, creative spirit that dominated the Beach Boys' career and gave us all the great stuff and all the horrible ideas is still alive and well in Al.  And Brian too I suppose.  Lots of ideas, some happen, some don't.  At least Al's thinking big.

Thank you, Aegir, for the head's up.  I recall the issue of using the letters 'p' and 'm' together coming to a head at the beginning of the tour (especially funny when folks would write out a set list, which would invariably include "Help Me, Rhonda," but I thought that we, as a community, had moved past this.

Looking back, my reaction may have come across as a bit over-the-top, I suppose, and my apologies for that, however, if we must insist on this type of censoring, perhaps the automatic message that is displayed could be something that reads a bit more respectful than "I'm being cute and testing the moderators."

Anyway, I'm sorry for derailing the thread.  Back OT!

Alright, after some investigation it seems that the world premiere of the "Don't Fight The Sea" video (feat. the BB) will be at the opening night at BLUE Ocean Film Festival, September 24th at the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
The video producer Bob Talbot will be there answering questions.

Not yet sure when/if the video will hit the 'net.

Please tell me it hasn't actually been two years since this song was released. At this rate, now between the point I die will have only felt like six months or so (when in actuality it will have only been three years).
