Right now I've been hooked to the "Love You" album I slept on it for a while..Just recently I decided to pick it up and check it out and well let's just say I've been listening to that every day for the past week. My 4 favorites from the albums are "The Night is So Young,Honkin Down the Highway,I'll Bet He's Nice,Roller Skating Child"... Which album have you currently been listening to the mostly/solely?

Inspired by one of the other threads, I made a custom "deluxe version" of Holland I've really been enjoying lately:
Trader Sail On Sailor Only With You California Funky Pretty We Got Love
Steamboat Hard Times Big Sur (original version) It's A New Day Leaving This Town Fairy Tale Music (custom mix)

Lately I've been listening to Friends a lot. When I'm in a bad mood, it never fails to help me feel better. The harmonies and the overall simplicity of the songs is just brilliant--I can see why Brian has often said that it was his "favorite" BB album.

Haha, my Dad is a fan of the BBs, but way more into the early car songs, etc. He grew up with the Boys (he was born the same year Dennis was) and we were in the car the other day with my mp3 player on and Celebrate the News came on. After that amazing outro/fade, he asked me inquisitively what song it was, he really liked it and was surprised it was them.

I'm going through a 2004 Mike and Bruce phase...the best setlists in a Beach Boys show since the mid-1970s.

Have you gone through a 1981-1982 phase?

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Have you gone through a 1981-1982 phase? I actually did...an attempt to find any kind of nugget. It was like trying to find the least offensive turd.

I have to say that I listen to so much music that I haven't been listening to a lot of beach boys lately.

I was listening to a lot of early stuff (especially All Summer Long), but now I'm going back and forth between Sunflower and Love You.
