Or it could be that Brian is somewhat socially awkward and felt nervous being put on the spot like that. Probably wouldn't have been any different if Al or David had asked him the same questions.

I think the subtext was more like "I'd rather not banter anymore, Mike, so here's the best way to get you to understand that." not "UNCOMFORTABLE BLARG BLARG BLARG"

didn't notice a thing, other than Brian looked completely engaged and delieved a pretty funny one-liner, in a very Brian-like unintentional way

That's a cool clip, and one that shows Brian isn't at all out of it, as some assume.

So Brian wrinkled his nose… wtf are you trying to interpret that as?  Maybe he was stifling a sneeze…  maybe Foskett's aftershave was getting to him.

It reminds me of Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon.  When Brian responds to Mike when asked if he remembered the football game, it reminded me of when Ed used to say, "You are correct, sir!"  Brian has good comic timing.

Thats how I saw it. Brian is pretty quick with dates. No hesitation at all in that clip.

But I will say he wants that song and the show done and dusted. The cateering table was calling.

Brian seemed happy in that video and enjoying bantering with Mike. LOL

Mike's question has absolutely nothing to do with whether Brian is happy or not. Next.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I noticed this whilst watching the video the other day - I took a screencap of it. It is absolutely hilarious.

Actually this thread should be transferred to the Blueboard ( 'The Lets Bash Mike Love Board' FFS ) , it would sit rather nicely there !

I really enjoyed seeing that clip, actually. To me, it looked like Brian was totally with it. He was even making facial expressions--no stone face there. It looked off-the-cuff, and as if Brian actually remembered the year of the game. And then in his own way, he let Mike know he wanted him to finish the banter and get to the music. Because obviously he's Brian Wilson, and he just wants the concert to be over. No surprise there.
