I just signed up for an account and can't believe how rude some people are on here. I was expecting all positive, happy people. Where does this bitterness come from? Ron especially you need to Catch A Wave Smiley and you'll be sitting on top of the world Smiley

I think maybe your wave is too literal.

Welcome to the board, SummerInParadise. We have great people here like Andrew G. Doe and Jon Stebbins; accomplished writers and researchers with an unparallelled depth and breadth of knowldege about The Beach Boys. You will hae to wade through some nonsense (much of it mine) but most of the posters here are civil and courteous, even when they disagree.

You're in amongst the big boys now mate!  LOL

Jon, AGD, Ron and whoever else posts here are all great guys in my book but don't expect them to hold back with their opinions in order to save someone's blushes. It's a friendly place here in the main and we all do our best to help each other by sharing the music and our experiences, just don't be afraid to stand up for your own opinions and you'll be fine.  Smiley

Something in your post has offended me (can't remember what) and you have now made an enemy for life.

Seriously though, even people like Ron who come off as abrasive still often contribute worthwhile things to this board. It is a good group and the best resource for Beach Boys fans.

So Jon, did you get to hear what Dave thinks about that "Spring vacation"-song ?

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Ron may be a bit "prickly" at times, but we love him for his "prickliness".

What an awesome post. Thanks, Jon. Although, all these reviews make me a little depressed that I won't be seeing them.  Grin
