They probably won't have an opening act but I love when I can see two concerts on the same bill.
I think The Shins or St. Vincent would be great openers.

The Shins are too big themselves to open for another act (even the Beach Boys). But they are going to tour again in 2012 and release a new album. And yeah, the BBs probably won't have a regular supporting act..

No need for an opening act, the 50th anniversary demands a full evening of Beach Boys music !

I don't feel the Beach Boys need an opening act, when I saw Brian he didn't have one and I don't see why it should be any different for the Beach Boys.

Y'know,
I'd like to see the tour wind up with a two-day festival at the Hollywood Bowl.
Line-up to include:
Wilson Philips American Spring The Honeys Al Jardine and the Endless Summer Beach Harmony Sunshine Buckets & Spades Band Brian Wilson The Flame Mike & Bruce band
with weekend headliners the reunited Beach Boys.
Right now I'd happily thow in everything to cros the pond for that.

Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes, three songs each, then back on stage w. the b.b. for a cluster of one or two songs before the b.b. final set of songs...or not.

Only if they brought Peter Cetera with them. Ya, he's hunky dunky and still cool, but, they still absolutely rock with their lineup. Lamm does a great job!

Hey, they could perform their mega hit Ferry Cross the Mersey, while the Beach Boys do their Number One hit Surf City!

No need for a support act in my opinion, leaves more time for more Beach Boys songs!

I wish I could go back in time and see that show where Captain Beefheart, The Leaves, Love , The Lovin' Spoonful and The Byrds opened for The Beach Boys in 1966.

That would be pretty sweet but that would take way to much of the spotlight away from the boys. I'm pretty sure your not serious though. (It's hard to understand when your joking or not even if I am also english.)

I would personally take a longer Beach Boys set over having an opening act. Then maybe Bruce could squeeze in Disney Girls
