always nice to hear Brian getting praise from other great artists.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Is that from the Classic Album series where musicians and band members break down each track and tell you how they recorded it how they wrote it?  Those a great series and I have a few of them like Paul Simon' Graceland.  Anyway, it would be fantastic if they did a series just on Beach Boys albums.  And not just Pet Sounds.

I don't know if I'd want to hear a Making of Sunflower without Carl or Dennis. I suppose they could spend a lot of time talking about Deirdre and Tears in the Morning.

Absolutely...I should've said "It would have been fantastic"...perhaps it's too late now to make a  meaningful document considering all the key players are gone.  But I think we could still get some great insight from the rest of the key members and also Stephen Desper.  It seems his recollection of those albums are still quite vivid.

If that's true, I'm Brian Wilson

Second time this week I've thought the worst of ageing rockstars for deplorable acts which their fans are happy to ignore. I'm a cantankerous git at heart.  Grin

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Hey, if BB fans can ignore Brian's several "child-related" freak-outs, why can't they ignore Pete's?

I'd buy it. Not a huge Bruce fan but I love both "Deirdre" and "Tears In The Morning".

I think I only spelled it right because they only place I ever saw it written down was on the Sunflower album. Not exactly a pleasant literary name.

Getting back to Townends praise of Brian Wilsons early bass playing, I'm thinking after reading Jon Stebbins
book, shouldn't a certain Mr. Alan Jardine be taking a lot of the credit here. ?
