http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GBz5BVv3Ys&feature=related

the creativity is at the end and the organ for the chorus has been added*

what are your thoughts? I mean this mix is very creative, had Brian gone for something a bit more like this perhaps H&V and Smiley wouldnt have bombed like that. This mix would at least make top 8 or something??

I like it a lot. Which probably means it wouldn't be a hit. Too good for the masses. Most people want something to dance to because they are stupid. I love this, and I hate the masses of people that call themselves music fans. And I hate the record companies that wouldn't allow this because its too long.

I find your contempt for people ridiculous.

I'm kind of joking. But many things that become hits, I just think 'why'?

Well, the Beatles were bigger than the Beach Boys, so in a way I agree :D

I would suggest that Bubblegum pop is great.

I don't like where this thread is going! Music taste is subjective!

The mid to late 60s had the best era of pop music IMO, but it was also full of bad hit songs just like any era. Today more so, when the likes of Lady Ga Ga and Justin Beiber are the most popular while the Fleet Foxes and Flaming Lips are hardly even on the radio (in Dallas).
