I can say for a fact that most of the songs are mixed differently and better on TSS!

Same versions, but totally different mixes (some for the better, some for the worse, imo)

I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Oh, and the first box was '93, not '91.  But some SMiLE stuff was heard for the first time (legally at least) on the Capitol "Smiley Smile"/"Wild Honey" twofer in 1990.   Smiley

Go away, learn some BB 101, maybe even listen to a few albums of theirs, then when you come back we might start taking you seriously. Oh, and I'd go see your audiologist too.

Maybe he can't get the box, and he's just wondering before he buys it.  Let's not kill the guy for it...

Welllllll, you guys are being a little harsh on Jimmy, aren't ya?  Maybe he hasn't heard the new Smile set(s) yet and meant to ask if the versions and mixes of the songs on the new Smile release were the same as those included on the 1993 Good Vibrations box set. Maybe he thought there might be some exact duplication of these particular tracks.

My earlier retort was for Jimmy's use of the non-word "alot", which for some reason bugs the crap outta me when I see people use it in a sentence. I don't know why - I'm not an English teacher.  A lot of people still write it that way though!

Careful now Mikie! I don't want to set the alot on you http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com.au/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html

And I don't mean to be harsh to 'newbies' it's just that there is a thread for one-off questions plus a search function on this site plus there is the rest of the internet. I spent a long time reading threads before posting when I first signed up.

In all fairness, I don't typically ask a question about something I already know the answer to.

Why do drive-thru ATM machines offer Braille (a method that is widely used by blind people to read and write)?

If you get the TSS set, you won't need the '93 set for SMiLE material. However there is plenty on the '93 set not available elsewhere (4th of July for instance).

Do alot sleep alot run alot. Wow! My spell checker is going crazy!

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

The Search function is an under-used tool on messageboards in general.  It's a great thing to use if you're new to a board, or don't visit as often as others.
