Brian + VDP in the Landy era

We know per Usher/McParland that they saw each other at least once during those years.
I don't know if that's the one occasion that is portrayed in the photo section of the WIBN book.
In any case, in that picture they're supposedly collaborating on something. What was that?
Apparently there was an OCA -era unreleased song called Our Love Our Baby, or something like that. I think at the time I read it was an original. Perhaps that's what they were writing in the 80s? Or were they coming up with lyrics for the failed 1989 Smile? Lyrics that ended up appearing in 2004...
Sorry for the speculation. Perhaps this has been answered before. But nevertheless I always found interesting that these two wrote something in those years.

I believe they worked on the original version of what turned out in 2004 as The Waltz. Can't remember the name of the song though

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

VDP was asked to revise the lyric to "Black Widow".

Never heard of that title before... and as for writing new lyrics for the alleged 1989 attempt at getting
Smile
out which then turned up on

ok. so they were writing "Let's do it again", I suppose.
Regarding the "Our Love Our Baby" title, I think I read that in a
BBStomp
report on OCA way back when.
