Starting at 1:52 and intensifying after 2:03; presumably theremin but it sounds like a comb being vibrated very rapidly. An amazingly terrifying sound in another context. I've never heard it that clearly before. It's like the outro sound but a lower, pitch and thicker harmony.

Has it been isolated on any of the tracking sessions (I don't have the 5 CD set)?

[That theremin sound also recalls Star Trek/Gene Rodenberry]

Not sure exactly what you're referring to, but the instrumentation going on here includes a Jew's Harp (or Jaw Harp)...

...along with a bass harmonica (similar to what was used on tracks like "I Know There's An Answer"), tambourine-like percussion, the tack piano, bass and the theremin along with some woodwind instruments.
